Meghan, Duchess of Sussex/Instagram
Meghan Markle has a touching nickname for her children.
On Thursday, April 30, the Duchess of Sussex shared two videos on her Instagram Stories from her home in Montecito, Calif., which she shares with husband Prince Harry and their children Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. The videos were filmed in the family’s chicken coop, which they lovingly refer to as “Archie’s Chick Inn.”
In the video, Meghan could be seen feeding chickens alongside Jonathan Grahm, the founder of the Los Angeles-based artisan chocolate brand Compartés.
“When the chocolate man comes to see the chickens,” Meghan, 44, said with a laugh at the beginning of the first video as she showed the two of them in the coop. She then flipped the camera around to show two of the family’s chickens.

In the background of the video, one of Meghan and Harry’s children — possibly collecting eggs from the coop — could be heard saying, “Mom, I got another gray one!”
“Thanks sweetheart!” Meghan replied.

The Duchess of Sussex recently collaborated with Compartés on a Mother’s Day collection for her lifestyle brand As ever.
The collection includes two candles inspired by her children’s birthdays. One candle, Signature Candle No. 506, is tied to Archie’s May 6 birthday and is described as “a warm, comforting scent” with notes of ginger, neroli and cashmere — a subtle wink to his red hair.
The second candle is inspired by Lilibet’s June 4 birthday and is “a light, floral scent, adding a sense of brightness and openness to the home,” with notes of amber, water lily and santal.
The candles can be bundled with a Compartés chocolate box to complete the Mother’s Day set.
Meghan has previously shown glimpses into her family’s chicken coop. In March, she shared an Instagram Stories video of her daughter Lilibet, wearing rainboots and a purple coat, with a pair of chickens.
The world first got a glimpse into Archie’s Chick Inn during the couple’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the interview, Winfrey, 72, noticed the sign reading “Archie’s Chick Inn — established 2021” for the coop housing hens rescued from a factory farm.
“I just love rescuing,” Meghan said at the time.
Meghan and Harry, 41, recently returned to Montecito from a jam-packed trip to Australia, where they embarked on four days of public and private engagements focusing on mental health, community resilience and support for veterans and their families.
